Coq, a Painting about a Folky Rooster

Folk Art Rooster
Coq!

I painted two of these checkered folk pieces.  The one featured here is in a beautiful antique frame built out of an European oak or chestnut.  The companion piece is framed identically.      I feel the date is late 19th century.  I love color and love that checkerboard pattern woven into decor.  The one hanging in my kitchen (photograph below) is not for sale.  The other one, which has been peacefully sitting on my living room carpet, I am willing to sell.  This is the version that is featured at the very top of this page!  I am going to post this to my Etsy store, so you can check out the dimensions and price later.  Thanks for looking.
